Job description
Job location:
Twin Water “Shopping and Entertainment Center” – Lagos, Nigeria
Summary:
Manages all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
He will prepare a master plane for an efficient preventive maintenance schedule and enforce the implementation on details.
Will be accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
Also will be responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements.
Will assists in leading the emergency response team for all facility issues.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Active, open mind person, accepting to work in a multicultural environment
Capable to transfer his knowledge to a team and to be an efficient team leader
Experience in fault finding/detection technics, such as Fishbone or Reactive Feedback System
Computer literate: MS Office, reporting ability, capability to read and understood AutoCAD drawings, Revit or similar
Education and Experience
- At least university degree – not less than 3 years’ university courses in Mechanical/Electrical specialism
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area;
- Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
OR
- 3 -year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major;
- 10 year experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area;
- Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
Mandatory to have:
- Experience in big size diesel engine power generators
- Experience in running and maintain water purification plants (Reversible Osmosis or similar, for example desalinization plant, etc..)
- Experienced in run and maintain sewage plants, any type.
- Experience in maintenance of kitchen equipment and restaurant/bar equipment
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets
• Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
• Manages and controls cool/heat, light and power and recommends current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
• Develops specifications and requirements for service contracts and administers such contracts to support building needs.
• Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion.
• Oversees and directs the maintenance of grounds, public space, restaurants, property vehicles and recreational facilities ( staff area).
