APPLICATION of BALTECH VP-3450
The device for diagnostics of bearings by shock pulse method BALTECH VP-3450 (hereinafter Tester) is designed to test the condition of bearings of rotating machinery and to check the equipment for the mechanical damages.
The main purpose of the tester is check of bearing condition by shock pulse method. The assessment of the bearing condition allows you to:
• avoid unnecessary inspections and repairs when the machine is in good working condition;
• exclude planned replacement of bearings in good working condition;
• timelydetect hidden problems to avoid emergency situations and downtime associated with replacement or planned repairs.
DESIGN AND OPERATION PRINCIPLE
The BALTECH VP-3450 tester consists of an electronic unit and sensor. The sensor is placed into the holder and is connected to the instrument via the cable. The device is made of ABS plastic and consists of a single-chip microcontroller, graphic LCD display and a film five-button keypad on the front side. The batteries are located within the housing in the battery compartment. The battery cover is fixed with screws. The outputs for sensors and headphones are located on the side end.
During the measurement the sensor is connected to the device using a cable and the probe is pressed to the bearing cap.
Bearing condition is evaluated according to the color scale: green - good, yellow - warning, red - damage. Setting of the measurement mode is made by using the keyboard.
